Slate Packaging, Transport & Export
At Minas Slate, we understand that delivering premium natural stone requires more than just quality products — it demands precision, care, and logistical expertise. That’s why we’ve built a streamlined process that ensures your slate arrives safely, on time, and ready to impress.
Packaging
We have different packaging, specific for each type of product. Wooden crates tailored to each format — from tiles and slabs to bespoke pieces — ensuring safe transport with no loss in quality or quantity. Our packaging is designed to protect against impact, moisture, and shifting during transit, so your order arrives exactly as expected.
WOODEN CRATES
The packaging is manufactured from environmentally correct wood from reflorestaration and all pallets are fumigated (BR 196 HT)
PAPER BOXES
By request we can pack slate tiles firstly in paper boxes and even put your labels or barcodes, what is very comfortable for big distribution centers.
Also by request we can check the possibility of special customised packaging and labeling (certain number of slates per pack, etc). Please contact us to discuss all details.
Factory-to-Port Transport
Once your slate pieces are securely packaged, they embark on their journey.
We have this powerful Scania to transport your orders from factory to the port, where cargo will continue it's journey.
Having own transport means that we are aware that you'll receive your order on time, without any lost in quality or quantity because of mistreatment or crates damage during transport.
Reliability starts at the source. With our own Scania truck fleet, we handle transport from our factory to the Rio de Janeiro port with full control over timing and safety. This guarantees on-time deliveries and minimizes risk, giving you peace of mind from the moment your order leaves our facility.
Container Stuffing - Expert handling at every step
At the port, professional and well-trained stuffing team makes sure that our products will be delivered safety to their destination. They handle crates with care, and we track their progress every step of the way.
Products are loaded securely to maximize space and prevent damage, ensuring your cargo is export-ready and compliant with international standards. Each container then individually sealed.
For export of our slate products we use standard 20' DRY containers supertested ~ 27 tons of cargo or customs weighted for US market (depend upon the limit weight of each state)
Inside the container: All crates are well fixed to avoid any undesirable movement, so that when your cargo arrives, you’ll find your slate pieces in pristine condition—ready to transform your space.
